124/365 - A Place of Despair

I’ve tried not to repeat myself in my work on the 365 project, in that I don’t want to re-photograph scenes and locations I’ve shot in the past. Yet, I’ve taken photos for more than a decade at this particular location and I always find something new.

Today marks a new month, and I’ve completed exactly a third of the 365 challenge. October was both easy and terrifying. Most days the photos came effortlessly – but on some days they didn’t want to come at all. That led to a still-life series of watch photography that pushed me outside of my comfort zone and forced me to make a photo, rather than just take a photo.

I haven’t missed a day yet, but I’m not going to lie, I’m running out of things to shoot. I’m also running out of daylight now that we’re entering November and the dreary winter. The greatest challenges are ahead.
