035/365 - Haaaaaaaaaabah Town

Having spent $6 on a gate pass to get in and look at the plantation ruins (see my previous post), I decided to drive further into Sea Pines and check out the famed Harbour Town lighthouse. (I can’t help pronouncing this as if Bill Burr were saying it, with the exaggerated Boston accent.)

My wife and I returned later for dinner, and I took the opportunity to get some more cliche shots after sunset.

034/365 - Ruins in B&W and color

I just got back from a trip to Hilton Head Island, in which I engaged in the worst sort of tourist photography. Here are some images from the Stoney-Baynard ruins in Sea Pines.

Black and white would have been a logical choice for all the photography here, but since the ruins and the surrounding trees all sort of have the same tonal qualities, I thought the black and whites lacked some definition.
