July 13, 2017Working in the Lower Richland area today, I came across this amazing abandoned building.
012/365 - A sinister place
July 12, 2017This location is not far from home, and I recall seeing it repeatedly when I used to ride my motorcycle on this particular route. Some business took me to this part of the county this morning, so I decided to stop by on the way back.
The only thing visible from the roadway is the yellow sign announcing the Hudson Motel. Driving through a narrow path into a wooded area, the dilapidated buildings become visible. There’s a feeling of danger here: Debris, broken glass, animals rustling in the bushes, waist-high foliage, scrawled graffiti, and the possibility of squatters taking refuge in one of the old buildings.
Dante comes to mind. “Abandon all hope ye who enter here.”
